Had my AZ jab yesterday evening so was prepared for feeling somewhat crap today. So far, apart from a slightly heavy feeling arm where the jab was given, no other side effects.

The US and UK programmes continue their incredible success, a virtuous circle.

Also great to see one or two continental nations now making strides. Hungary did this by side stepping the mandatory centralised EU process and sourcing directly from China and Russia.

The UK is doing so well, for so long a laughing stock when the pandemic began. We haven't really had a true lockdown where I live, some restrictions sure, mandatory mask wearing everywhere, sure. We have the harshest Quarantine restrictions in the world (3 weeks in a hotel), vaccinations are floundering (largely because of lack of public confidence in Chinese vaccines). We don't really have an exit strategy.

The UK has a defined way out of this mess, I'm so happy for my family, friends and all of you lot.

Got loads of friends and ex-colleagues in HK and spent many weeks there, not a happy place currently. Such a shame.....stay safe

My brother has been contacted for his jab - 39 years old, no known underlying conditions (possibly something minor and liver-related from years ago).

The Wife with no underlying conditions got both her appointments today - she’s only 35 - a mistake surely?

Has she ever had asthma, even if a very long time ago?

My daughter has mild asthma, rarely needing inhalers, but they asked that she got vaccinated. Done last Saturday at the Brighton Racecourse vax centre.
