Indeed. Very remiss of me. Looks like they had the plan and selected Merc F1 as the perfect partner to achieve their aim.

Seems that they’ll be moving to the 4th phase fairly rapidly:

1. Find existing product & reverse engineer.
2. Redesign and improve.
3. Manufacture prototypes and test.
4. Manufacture up to 1,000 per day & distribute.
5. Save lives.

Still some refinement needed. An 98-year old patient who tested a prototype showed rapid signs of making a full recovery before developing pneumonia after he was sprayed with champagne.

Has anyone got an update graph of our comparative trajectories to Italy, Spain, etc?

I doubt it, because it no longer fits the narrative of the miserablists who were determined to frighten everyone despite this country being neither Spain nor Italy.

That graph doesn't look as 'comforting' as this one which deals in known cases. As long as the testing rationale is consistent, then it doesn't matter much if we test less than Gemrany etc. The important thing to look for is the line starting to plateau. Ours is not yet doing that but it is definitely showing small signs.

Hospital ship has arrived in New York harbour. It's for non-covid related patients, but will take the pressure off hospitals by freeing up more beds. Pretty well equipped, operating theaters, pharmacies etc. Also building field hospitals in Central Park. Looks like the same is happening in California.

Lot of NYC medical personnel and New Yorkers in general will be relieved to see this sailing past the Statue of Liberty after the pretty grim statistics that were released for NYC today

There are quite a few different graphs on the FT page. I agree that we look like we´re in a better position than many major countries out there

Yes, the figures today make bad reading, take care and do what you can to avoid it.

Following French trend quite closely. Their death rate increase has slowed significantly in last few days
