the programme is excellent - the tone is just right, sort of self-deprecating, which is fitting for the last game at that place.

Easy to be wise with hindsight isn't it. 5000 is over twice as many as they normally print and they usually end up destroying some. The more they print the bigger the risk of making a loss, especially seeing at this issue is bigger than normal. Hardly "pathetic".

No but now they know how big the demand is they could at least try and satisfy it.

The 3 iconic images used for the cover of Commemorative programme are Gus Poyet, Bobby Zamora and my flag!!

That's more than made up for missing the match yesterday.

Shame they didn't add the faces that ADORNED the flag at it's Withdean outing in 2002

Who cares if 5000 is over twice as many as they normally print. It was never going to be enough. They should have thought of a number and doubled it.

Insider says they're printing 20,000 for the opening game at Falmer. I'll tell you in advance, they're going to sell out of them much earlier than an hour before kick-off. 20,000 is less than one programme per person in a sell-out crowd for an unprecedented occasion, and loads of people will be buying multiple copies each. They should print 40,000 and put them in every newsagent in Sussex. Give 'em out with a specially-priced Argus or something. Easy to wise BEFORE the event in this instance.

And suppose they listen to you and print 40,000, but end up selling only 30,000? I hope you don't run a business.

I'm impressed that they managed to get a picture of Bobby Zamora on the cover and make it look nothing like Bobby Zamora.

Design isn't great, imo - and that's the lowlight.
