Things get under way tomorrow night with one of those new-fangled and crazy Thursday night fixtures.

Some tough looking fixtures there. That's absolutely crazy that Boro have to play Tuesday Friday!

An Ipswich victory would be most welcome.

Expecting wins for Hull, Derby and Burnley.

All about us beating Charlton, really.

Yep, I'm with stss30 - Hull will win easily.

I think we will see 4 of the top 5 winning actually. We will probably win (by the usual one goal), Hull will thrash Leeds, Burnley sneak past Preston and either of the two teams on 36 points will win away against a team on 28, but I don't think both will. Given that fact, I'm expecting us to be 11 or 12 points clear of 7th place by the end of the weekend. Which is nice.

Ipswich were the form team of the division in November. Over their 4 matches they scored 12 goals. No other side managed to score more than 6.

'Boro had a big game last night in the League Cup, so it's a tough ask for them to head down to Ipswich 3 nights later.

The last time Middlesbrough travelled to an in form team, Hull comfortably beat them 3-0.

Going 5 points ahead of Middlesbrough at this stage would be fantastic, particularly if we then beat them at the AMEX.

That would also get the Albion closer to level on goal difference, as well.

Preston are a tough nut to crack so maximum points for Burnley is not a given.

My thoughts entirely -look what happened here, albeit with some crucial injuries to blunt our attack. It is also a local derby, so by no means certain that Burnley will win, though perhaps on balance, you would just about tip them to do so.

Like your description of the new Thursday night extravaganza, but why single out Burnley when Hull and -- dare I say it -- our fixtures look just as, if not more than, likely?

We were odds-on to beat 6th place Birmingham on saturday, Burnley are a shade of odds against to beat 18th placed Preston.

- Boro's away form is not good, and Murphy hitting form. Can see them dropping points here.

- Although leeds are terrible at home, it is kinda a derby, so will give hull a good game i feel

- PNE will try and battle for a 0-0, again a derby so anything can happen

- derby will have too much for sheff wed, easy win for them

Good point well made - it's essentially a derby of sorts so league position is less relevant. Plus with Barton in our side a red card is always a-waiting.
