We were rumoured to have been after Eze a year or two ago. Suspect he would cost a hefty chunk more now than he did then.

That was my peak too, huge terraced crowds packed into the Goldstone, beautiful days. The CH Championship years matched it for me, but it was far more tense, as I was well aware of the financial need to go up in 2017 for Tony Bloom. Absolutely no one talked about club finances in 1976 to 1979.

Maybe they should it might have prevented the shit we ended up in 3 years later.

I am enjoying it as much now as those days, the experiences are different but much more in the plus column for this team and the Amex now.
