Arguably the toughest league in the world, it usually delivers some cracking matches that are make or break for both sides in the final set of fixtures (us vs Boro for example).

Next Sunday there will be 2 (TWO) interlinked play-off/relegation deciders!

Derby vs Barnsley
Preston vs Burton

And 2 (TWO) interlinked promotion/relegation deciders.

Cardiff vs Reading
Birmingham vs Fulham

We all know what the Derby way is - will they make their fans suffer next week or save the pain for the play-offs?

I'll see your 2 (TWO) and raise you 3 (THREE) as:

Derby v Barnsley is also very much part of the promotion / relegation picture too.

Meanwhile, in League 1 - Scunthorpe (6th) vs Plymouth (7th) on tuesday before the final round. Scunny have a 2 point lead, so Plymouth will be needing a win, or at least a draw, to take it to the final day.

Steve Evans has failed to get Peterborough into the play-offs.

Rochdale vs Charlton will determine relegation and play-offs (Charlton will be hoping Scunthorpe beat Plymouth on tuesday, because that will almost guarantee their top 6 spot).

Also, Northampton vs Oldham. Northampton not only need to win, but they need to win by 9 (nine). Oldham happen to be the only team they can catch if they're to stay up, and they'd need Rochdale to lose. They could win 9-0 and still not survive.

Great thread Hugo Rune.

I'm really pissed off with Wolves for not breaking the points records as this means that Reading will still be able to sing that pathetic song. On the other hand, they wouldn't be able to sing it in the third tier.

It would be most amusing to see Brum or Reading drop.

Bloody 'boro last night. I want the 'wallies in the POs.

The other thing is the "freak" season that saw us miss out on automatic promotion with 89 points could be usurped by Fulham missing out with 91.

We were 15 points ahead of Massive Wednesday, Fulham could be 19 ahead of Derby.

Will Reading invade the pitch when they *think* they are safe - only for a late, late goal elsewhere make them look silly ? ???

If reading manage to get themselves relegated will they be the first team since us to lose the play off final and then go down the following season. It's quite a large fall from grace, surely it can't happen that often?

Hard to believe they only missed out on penalties last season. Lost 4 zip yesterday at home to Ipswich and have to go to Cardiff next week. They will be sweating on a couple of results for sure.
