Nothing like a 5mins VAR decision to add drama and excitement to the worlds “greatest” match in club football.

100% a goal for RM. Absolutely scandalous decision. The ball comes to Benzema from the knee of the sliding Fabinho who definitely means to play the ball.

Shocking.

LiVARpool very very lucky there. Clearly comes off their player
Peter Walton said that it would have to have been deliberately played by a Liverpool player to put Benzema onside - a deflection doesn't count.

I agree they were very fortunate though.

The touch before that is key, it comes off a Liverpool player and then hits another.

How soon is now?

Listening to the justification on BT sport, it’s bull shit. Fabinho makes the tackle, an intentional tackle and the ball ends up at Benzemas feet. Should have been a goal, and the rule needs changing

Not sure why anybody from dumbo Ferdinand to posters on here can't grasp what Peter Walton explained so clearly. It's a deflection off Fabinho, not a deliberate play. So Benzema is offside. As Gerrard said in as many words to Rio, Peter Walton has explained it, move on.

No offence, but Peter Walton is the last person worth listening to in these situations.

“Let’s go over to Peter Walton to justify the incorrect on-field decision”
