So, not a share but a piece of advice for anyone getting the Leonardo express train from the airport to the train terminal in Rome.
If you download the app, you can buy these tickets in advance and have the ability to change the time as long as you do so prior to its departure. Whilst it's normally 14 euro each way it goes down to 10 euro each way if there are 4 or more of you traveling so works out a few quid cheaper.
It runs every 15 minutes and take approx 30 minutes to Rome Termini so is marginally quicker than a cab if you time it right. Link to the Google play store app below. They also are guaranteed to run during the strike.
Lastly, you have to check in on the app prior to travel which is a quirk of the Italian trains.
