No, the Bridge was created several years before the Tunnel and is better.

I've just finished watching the latest series as well. Top notch TV with a terrific plot and awesome performances throughout. What more could one ask for? Worth the licence fee alone in my view. I can't wait for series 4.

For those that liked Spiral...I see one of the cast is in a new series being shown by C4 called Spin....only watched one episode but looks promising (not in the same league as The Bridge)
