The Boys Own Story, Pavilion Theatre, Brighton - 14-18 September

Went tonight. A top show and a great performance.

I just hope the Albion team don't see it. They'll never work with the FDM or Coco again, if what we learned about goalkeepers is true.

Were you watching the same shit as me?

Good performance bearing in mind he was on his own and it lasted for two hours but the story/show left a hell of a lot to be desired.

Guess I'm not the only one as i reckon about a third of the audience didn't even bother coming back in for the second half.

Saw this on Saturday night. A good opportunity to meet some more NSC people before shooting back to London. So, I know who Afters and Man of Harveys are now and Lush's other half wasn't toosmug about the result earlier.

I thought the play was pretty good, the first half especially. It did drag a bit towards the end as it got meandering and repetitive but an excellent performance from Jem Wall.

........some editting required methinks. Maybe doubled up with a short drama about taking penalties or even a drama about the team selection for the World Cup Final in the USA.

That said, I've seen far, far worse.

*stumbles off down road looking for pint of bitter, muttering under breath about how the people's game has been parasitised by politicians, veggies, theatrical types, namby pamby liberals; non smoking, politely-spoken, chair occupying Islingtonites*

spot on. the performance was definitely better than the play, about 30 mins too long as well!

I thought that, like yesterday's match, it was about 20 minutes too long. :)

I enjoyed it. It was more poignant than comedy I thought. So for the second time that day I left a football event feeling somewhat depressed. :(

Great performance by Jem Wall though - as said above. Programme notes say that he is a Watford fan but since moving to Brighton his kids are now Albion fans!
