#teambag. I find the cardboard absolutely useless. I got balti over my shorts on Saturday. Looked like I’d shat myself.
As the OP said the box first couple of seasons was best.
On the other hand if you have actually shat yourself, you can give a "bloody pies!" excuse to all you encounter.

There used to be somebody something to do with Piglet's Pies posted on here. Maybe they could give their take on this rubbish pie container design choice? 😀

Acts like a plate, stops you burning your fingers and doesn't go soggy like the bag does.
It sounds as if you've found a way of making this work that everybody else had missed. It's clear Richard Reynolds needs to host a pre-match big screen presentation on proper usage of the pie receptacle. With subtitles obviously, judging by the other thread about the PA.

An example of my issue with the box at Southampton away last season. Rammed away area with no available shelf space. The box requires 2 completely free hands, whereas the bag or sleeve is manageable with one plus some fingers from the pint holding hand.

I liked new the sleeve for a few reasons;

1) it allowed the pie to cool while I drank my pint 👍🏻
2) The sleeve doubled up as a small plate when eating said pie 🥧
3) small folds down less waste and hopefully recycled 🤘🏻
4) It was not hot to hold while pie was cooling😁

Wasn’t sure about the new bit of cardboard around my pie on Saturday - kind of preferred it in its sealed paper bag. Thoughts?
I was very impressed with the cardboard "sleeve" around my chicken gammon & leek pie on Saturday.

It held the pie together very well, unlike the bag it was served in last season which just served to collect the contents of the pie which fell out as you tried to eat it.

Less waste too as presumably the cardboard can be recycled.

The little box thing is fine but the club branding on it feels unnecessary to me. Why not let piglets pantry advertise on it, or just a plain box.

Interesting to see the poll narrow between box and bag with not much love for the sleeve fella despite the Barber Bots coming out in numbers.

Cardboard sleeves are OK although you have to be careful how you hold it to avoid pie slippage and potential disaster.

Optional paper plates would be ideal.
