Have been to several Anglian derbies at Ipswich. Always had great atmosphere every time I've been. Have also seen a North London derby at Highbury many years ago. The best derby I've ever been to is a non-english one, in 1987 I saw Rangers play Celtic when the three players (2 from rangers Woods and Butcher) got sent off incredible atmosphere that day.

Another type of english derby I've seen twice is Scotland v England at Hampden Park.

Chester vs Wrexham could get quite tasty especially at the Deva. One's a lovely English city and the other's an awful Welsh dump.

Can't believe so much discussion has taken place without defining biggest? :wozza: do we mean:
-Closest geographically?
-Most violent / most arrests?
-Most famous?
-Hardest to get tickets for?
-Longest lasting?
-Best atmosphere?

Trigger & Defrocked Priest have called this one correctly. It's Wolves v West Brom. i seem to remember some official study/research on this subject a couple of years back, taking into account all the different variables, and the 'winner' was Wolves v West Brom. (and i have been to it with a Baggie mate - and can verify it's proper f***ing mental !)

Leeds - Galatasary isn't very friendly, but they hardly play each other much.

Speaking of Turkish sides there rivalries are usually quite fierce, mainly Beskitas, Fenerbache and Galatasary derbies are very heated.
