The man throwing the dog is obviously genuinely really angry, but does the dogs face make it hilarious?

It made me laugh, so it must be funny.

Whether it is morally right to throw a dog through the air is an entirely different subject. But then we don't know what the dog is being thrown at, onto or into, do we? And I wouldn't say the bloke who has thrown the dog is necessarily angry at all.

But it is a funny picture.

To be honest with the size of it's ears, I would imagine the dog had a very gentle landing, parachute style.

Maybe we're all barking up the wrong tree here. To me this picture shows the moment the dog comes crashing through the ceiling of The Neighbours set, narrowly missing Joe Scully, having jumped out of an aircraft when someone threw their bread stick at a Stewardess.

It's patently a manufactured picture - look at the shadows on the walls supposedly made by the dog's ears.

But quite funny though nonetheless. Being able to laugh at other people's (or animals) misfortune is what makes us human.
