Surely has to be this ??
Or after a few substitutions, this

Better vocals, better harmonies, more than one good song..............How does that beat the first two videos?
Crosby, Stills and Nash - before Young muscled in.For a gig or two, yes, incredible, goosebumps..
As a longer term project …. what about Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young? Although I think it was ruined by egos and Young treating it with disdain.
Cream, surely - Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker (one of my favourite drummers of all time up there with Art Blakey and Neil Peart) - great musicians in their own rightAny other “super group” contenders ?

They weren’t really a ‘supergroup’ as such though were they - assembled for a short term project - ( Clapton of course had already played lead guitar on the song on the White Album so it wasn’t novel he was there) you should probably also include Band Aid too in that case for line up alone which trumps the line up of the TWs in terms of sheer numbers of existing recording artists coming together Awful song though - you’d think a bunch of musicians could come up with something better!

Yes it was but I would have refused to sing on it unless parts of it were rewritten - mind you, with Duran Duran and Banarama in the studio, I guess there wouldn’t have been much hope of that.I think the song was the work of Midge Ure and Bob Geldolf, everyone else just turned up and recorded.
