I have just had an awful moment and relived Hinshelwood's volley of an own goal, cant remember who it was against but it was down the family stand end and it was one cracker of a volley!!!

I have never forgotten John Napier's superb 25 yarder over Brian Pwney's head inside 30 seconds at Bury in 1968...we went on to win 2-1

I think Hawkins was almost alone wasn't he? The only pressure was that the ball was making it across him - so it was a peach of a flying header

Yes it was, header from about the 18 yard line straight into the top corner.

Whilst that wasn't a bad finish my own volleyed OG from just inside my own half into the top corner for Tarring Rovers v Washington many years ago was a much better goal! Unfortunately it wasn't captured on video.

The funniest is still the bloke who smashed the ball into the net via his own face a few years ago.
