I read that Stewart Granger was first choice to play Bond.


I didn't know that . My mother was a massive film buff an knew all the Hollywood and UK Film Industry gossip

I know that Stewart Granger's wife missed out on some of Hollywood's biggest parts because she wouldn't audition for them on the proverbial " casting couch " and that's because she was totally devoted to Stewart Granger at the time.

Maybe Stewart Granger wouldn't get on the " casting couch " either :)

I’m going to go with Michael Crawford.

Why his quite staggering performance as the lead in Condorman never landed him the role, we’ll never know. He’ll probably take that secret to his grave.
