I only go to Italian restaurants who make carbonara with egg and not cream. There are not many that do this because they want to cut time and cost.

It depends what you are looking for, there is a very different vibe between somewhere like Cin Cin (small plates, high end, smaller menu and more expensive) than Semola (bigger plates, more expansive menu and lower cost). You wont find a pizza on the menu at Cin Cin for example!

Both are great but very different.

Until my most recent visit I would have agreed, but in May the portions had shrunk and I left still hungry (a first for this place). Maybe I should try again in the hope it was an off day rather than the ubiquitous shrinkflation.
Hopefully a hiccup. I went in May, as well, as an end of season treat and left, as per usual, barely able to move I was so full!

Not an Italian Restaurant but the best pizza in Sussex is Wildflower in Ovingdean. Banging. Love it.

I like La Tavola in Southwick Square, if there’s something you fancy that is not on the menu, the chef will cook it, within reason of course
