Not sure why Ginola is on the list?

He's not fit to tie the laces of the other players in the poll !

Mark Lawrenson is a blatant omission, and is by far the best, though Maheta was in the running for 15 seconds.

Seriously, you may laugh but if this for both ON and OFF the field then I am going for LUCAS RADEBE.

It's a shame in polls like this that he didn't court publicity for all he did and is still doing away from the world of football. But I guess that is what makes him all the more fantastic. He was a rock on the football pitch and am absolute angel off of it.

I recon it was Junino who went to Middlesboro

Apparently in talks with Hull

Henry for me, did it for longer than Cantona and in a team that cost nowhere near the United team who were the Chelsea of the time, buying everybody and anybody.

That is a bloody hard call, there have been a fair few overseas players who have been a waste of air fare, but a number who have distinguished themselves and really made an unforgettable contribution to the English game.

For me the players who have excelled, possibly going back a bit longer than the time stated are the likes of Molby, Ardiles, Vialli, Cantona and Schmeichel. However, I went for Henry, there have been few players that I have gone to a game purely because they were playing but I did that the season before last and went to see Arsenal play at Villa. The previous time it was to see Romario play for PSV, earlier to see Dalglish play for Liverpool and the time before that was to see Terry Connor make his debut for the Albion. So there you have it, Thierry Henry, in my opinion one of the greatest players to have plied their trade in the history of English football...regardless of the fact that he came from overseas.
