[Misc] The best chillis sauces on the market.

Tonight I’ve had some Linghams sweet chilli sauce and I do think it’s tops in that range. It’s spicy enough but hard to over burn on it. I had a Satins Blood from that shop in Trafalgar Street a while back and my wife who feeds on napalm even thought it had a twang.

What are your favourites ?

It is good I have to agree. All that sugar and oil though and it should be! Use sparingly...with everything!

I would recommend Baron West Indian Hot Sauce. It’s terrifically hot and yet very tasty unlike anything had in UK. Can buy on Amazon, perfect with BBQ meats especially chargrilled chicken and bit of pineapple Caribbean style burgers!

This stuff is great, it goes with pretty much anything. Use with extreme caution but as it's natural ingredients it really doesn't cause my guts any issues.

I wish Pot Noodle would release the stuff they have in the sachets that come with their Bombay Bad Boy noodles. I'd buy gallons of the stuff. Tastes like nothing else I've ever found on the market

Based in Worthing, small, solo I believe, business trying to make a go of it themselves. Either buy direct or from Souk near West Worthing station (loads of great things in there). Not just hot but real flavour and you only need a tiny drop.

Surprised no-one's mentioned the chilli shop in Trafalgar St. I prefer to make my own chilli sauce and they have a fantastic range of dried chillis. But the shop also has an extensive range of chilli sauces - for a variety of tastes

I do love a chilli sauce, super hot, or just tasty, been known to make my own when I get hold of a glut of chillies. Might sound daft though, but Morrison's own habanero sauce I find is really decent for everyday use.

Morrison's own brand stuff is very good. Better than rivals imo. Jars of Sun Dried Tomato paste for a quid something. Brilliant.

On the hot sauce front I've some of their own brand ghost sauce which to me feels like industrial strength. Would be interested to know where that sits on the scoville

I can highly recommend Pip's Hot Sauce. We always have a stash of their Boca Del Diablo in the cupboard. It's not super hot at all, I'd call it medium, but we're all aclimatised differently - but it has a really deep flavour as well as heat. Not sure where you can buy it, but we buy six at a go online here:

When I want something a little more astringent, I go for Weymouth51. Local to us, so maybe not available in God's Own County (East Sussex), these bottles are a bit of a lottery. Made by a family who grow their own chillies. Basically seem to throw in whatever they have. Always different, often very hot, always tasty. If you just want heat, and to help a little company, hunt these guys out (Bridport Market is where we buy it - not helpful I know).

Yeah it's great. I make a few sauces myself but their Jalapeno and Mango Chilli are both excellent.

I regularly pop into my local Uncle Sams and buy their chilli sauce tub.

I absolutely love the taste of their sauce and it's made with just natural ingredients.

We then use it on our burgers and put it in chilli and pastas etc

This is by far the purest chilli sauce I've come across. First came across these guys at a chilli festival over 10 years ago and i've been a regular customer ever since. This stuff is sublime and bloody hard to get hold of as they only release 48 bottle a year.

3.5 inches tall by 2.5 inches diameter on average. Don't know how else to describe it

£3.45 I think I pay.

Very rarely they haven't let me have it because they're short but can't remember the last time that happened at Carden Avenue.
