That second side of Abbey road is just perfection, but some of the tracks on Let it Bleed make this a too close to call. Abbey Road is the perfect swansong ( yes i know let it be was released later but Abbey road was the last to be recorded). Let it Bleed is the defintive 60's stones album (Beggars Banquet might argue though)

This. All the way. Nothing beats the second side of Abbey Road.

Spent all my teens in the sixties - didn’t know anyone who was both a fan of the Beatles and a Stones fan.

Comparable to having a season ticket for both the Amex and Selhurst!

Stones were the best singles band of all time.
Their Albums were a bit patchy at the Top of the highest level.
Abbey Road is a masterpiece.
Abbey Road, for me

Let it Bleed for me.Beatles musically superior but not "bad-ass" enough in my opinion.

For me I like just about all the Beatles tracks but the Stones just had some tracks that were outstanding.

Kind of this, yes, the Beatles were well structured musically, and brilliantly arranged, and produced, Martin making a huge difference to their recorded output, and probably influencing their product via creative influence and thereby confidence.

The stones are far more soulful and bluesy, so recorded output not the same. But a lot of their music is more heartfelt

The one thing that's fact, is music is not competitive, they're both superb albums and brilliant bands.

If you were comparing blur and oasis on the other hand

Come together is one of those go to songs to sing to myself, saving humanity, love it, sometimes even Maxwell's silver hammer.

Abbey road by a mile but IMO we are asked to chose between the best of the Beatles and the not so good Stones. Sticky Fingers would make the choice harder !

Abbey rd is easily the best, no contest. Sublime album bar one song (Maxwell).

Gimme Shelter is up there with one of the most killer rock songs, ever
