Had a Forfars one the other day. bit pricey at 0.85p but big, light and soft with lemon iceing. Altogether a total joy.

Felt a bit guilty about buying from Forfars so today i had a Greggs. Wow, at a mere 0.60p it seemed a steal and i just couldn't wait 'til my tea at 3.00 before getting to grips with it.

Hmmm, hard, almost stale, little taste and felt heavy as a brick.

Have to say that, in this battle, the extra pennies for a Forfars is well worth it. the 0.60p I spent at Greggs was wasted.

Anyone else want to join in the bun fight?

i see no reason to be funny about Forfars. they had a different opinion, but they lost. let it be and enjoy the local produce.

Morrison's, on occasion do a twin pack of Iced Fruit Buns, the price is immaterial given the quality of the end bake.

Years and years ago, I toured the patisseries of Dieppe with Tim Cutress ... [don't ask!] ... and he expressed the opinion that there was no better place in the world than France for fancy cakes and buns. I agree.

Greggs is proper chav tastic McDonalds esque gash.

My local bakers is a quid, but they are at least double size no exaggeration, fresh lemon curd or blackberry and apple fruit in the centre not this glacé cherry muck and the most delectable icing I'm dribbling like Homer Simpson just thinking about them!

Think I'll go have one with my cuppa tea for elevenses today

I must say where I am here in Cornwall at the mo (where it is in the mid 70's today and glorious) there are a plethora of Bakery's in the main street.

I had a Rum Baba yesterday fooking gorgeous. Not mention the daily traditional large pasty the and the cream tea every other day. You get what you pay for with good food. Perhaps it's time to bury the Forfar thing.

I almost can't see my dick. Training for 10k one month hence on our return next week.
