I must of had a different view.
Thought Cardiff were miles better first half and could have been 2-0 up before we started playing. We were better as the half went on but lucky to go in level.
2nd half they were less effective and the defense was superb, brilliant double save by Kuszack, and as the half wore on we looked most likely to score.
All the defence played well, especially both the full backs.Bridders gave the ball away more than usual, Barnes, Dicker were poor, Noone fair but is so predictable when cutting inside.
CMS looked really up for it and ran his nuts off, but didnt get enough support, Croft did a good shift, but needs Vicente to shine cos Dicker and Barnes were never in the game.
Cardiff's overall movement was superb, always seemed to be someone running into spaces to create an outlet, whereas we were too static, overall IMHO, we should be happy with the point

Another save I remember from the second half was when Crofts (I think) brought the ball down on his chest on the left side of the box, and turned and stretched to put the ball across the six yard box, with their keeper diving at the feet of one of his defenders and the on rushing Noon (or CMS).

I thought as the game wore on dicker made more errant passes, but was slaughtered more than Bridcutt and Greer who made probably as many errant passes but theirs were more spread out.

After Noone and Dicker went off, we became very scrappy, hoofing it, and hoping for Vicente to do something, but I don't think he's a striker, certainly not a hold the ball up/power past the defenders type.

I'd say we had the better possession, and played the better football, but they had the better chances.

I thought that was a bloody brilliant game of football. Really really enjoyed it!

Yep, though it was a great game and a fair result.

CMS looked good I thought, but Bridge as MotM would have been my shout too.

Have to say Cardiff's movement was very impressive during their dominant spell. There was a lot of fluidity between their midfield and strikeforce.

Didn't agree with the Vicente ploy from Gus, though.

Cardiff came out the traps very fast and we did well to keep it levels-your-devils as they pushed hard for 15-20 minutes. We came into the game well though and dominated the second half of the half with some incisive play, creating some good chances and could easily have been in front at the break.

The break seemed to have come at the right time for Cardiff as the second half opened very scrappily, with no fluency from either side. Stand out moments were the double save from Kuszczak - probably the first points he has earned us. LuaLua then went very close with a curling effort from outside the box.

Overall though, there seemed to be a lack of thrust from us against a team that, as the half wore on, were clearly happy for a draw. That I'm struggling to remember their 'keeper making a save of any note in the second half says it all.

Good atmosphere at times and the Amex looks splendid. I suspect the big gap in the South will look very poor on the television. Also: 25,518? Really? Are we counting no shows now in a Palace-esque fashion? I simply don't believe that number were in the ground.

Looked good from your seat in the stand, did it? :lolol:
