The 'problem" is that most of the showers will be produced locally, on a Southerly wind, so the costal strip will most likely miss out as it takes a few miles for a storm to build.

Inland from mid Sussex northwards will see action

All of which is moot - this thread is only relevant for my house and my house alone!

***Reset The Clock***

The hairs on my forearms tell me there are invisible dots of rain at DunnStating.

The most curious thing..
Water fell out of the sky here last night, with flashes and bangs.

Festival cancelled and crowds evacuated after 'biblical storm'

Although fortunately I don't live anywhere near Bootle - there is nothing to recommend it.

I don’t live too far from Bootle and we had thunder and rain all last night. This thread jinxed everything. The heat returned today though for a lovely day out at the cricket in Southport.

We had 0.76mm pf rain here, so only just enough to settle the dust. Tomorrow looks equally as poor for those near the coast.

Had to drive to Manchester and back yesterday. Coming home around Heathrow was biblical rain, taking the speed on M25 down to walking pace. Could clearly see the weeks/months of oil and debris coming up on the road, the thunder and lightening was directly overhead. Not been in a storm like that in years. As soon as passed Chertsey there was no sign of rain, rest of drive home was bone dry.
