The latest GFS ensemble plot makes interesting viewing.

Meteociel - Diagrammes GEFS

Lots of high percentages for snow over the next few days, including two 100% points, which us very reassuring.

Another point to note, there are 24 data points in a row with a snow percentage of over 50%, without any gaps. Best case? 5 days of snow falling. It won't end like that, because this is a blend of the entire suite, but it does show the longer term potential past the immediate excitement this weekend.

So confused. When is the first main clump of snow coming in Brighton area? over night or during daytime tomorrow

The main band of snow will start around 8-9am and will keep going until late afternoon until it finally dies away during the early hours of Saturday morning.

The car said 5° on the way home and I nearly crashed the car in panic...noticeably warmer than this morning...

Our car said 4 degrees...then we drove past a massive sheet of ice on the side of the road. Didn't take too much notice of the temperature gauge after that!
