How is it in TW at the moment TRHK? Thinking of driving to me mum's later.

Sorry phil - missed your question. Main roads all passable. Side roads are ice rinks. Going to Brighton today - if we can get out of our road all should be good.

One little festive moment to come from all this ice was created by my daughter's insistance that we have a real Christmas tree. Had to walk a couple of miles into the middle of T Wells, picked out a tree then lugged this thing (mostly uphill) all the way back. But virtuall everyone we met smiled and said hello and made a comment (normally "ooh look - that man is carrying a Christmas tree"). It did feel a bit primitive and Christmas-like.

that blob over the channel is very slowly edging this way, got a feeling its more rain than snow should it make landfall.

I would guess it would be snow actually as dew points and temperatures are definitely low enough...
