Probably less than an inch currently in Southampton, but still snowing a noticeable amount.

The temperature had dropped from 1.6 to 1.0c in half an hour. Combine that with low dew points it should settle everywhere

Well I live in hedge end .... There is a little bit settled but still snowing reasonably heavily.... Roads are clear at the moment though

Ok, it's just i had heard that in Wales the grit was washed away by early rain, that why snow was laying so deep.
After all you are nearly welsh down there!
