A very few flakes on the lower fields of Cissbury Ring

The merest hint of a few snowflakes are just about falling here in the lofty heights of TN6. Fully expect that the town will be completely snowbound within the next couple of hours.

Talk of snow on Friday but not coming any further south than Oxford. It's going to be way too warm down here for a while for any of the White stuff.

Ok, here's a more pertinent bounce. There is a signal from all models for a brief cold incursion from the E/NE for the south / south east with a chance of snow. Nothing spectacular, but it's still there. the risk is from Wednesday to Thursday at the moment.

One to keep an eye on.

Hmm. I noticed a drop in temps on my mobile phone outlook, temps max of 7 on Tues, 6 on Weds, 3 on Thurs and 2 on Fri.

Looks like a cold snap in prospect.

A few brief flurries or some more of the serious stuff?

Any updates now?

Coming up the M1 on Saturday night (from the M25 up to Leicester), the salt/grit lorries were out. The car thermometer read 7C. WTF?

Well it's still on for the cold snap from early tomorrow with the chance of a few snow flurries. I would be surprised if there was anything more as the precip just isn't there unfortunately. A small chance of a thames streamer but nothing to write home about and that would not really affect anyone south of Surrey. So yes to a few snow flurries, but I would no to anything lying.

Back to high pressure from the weekend onwards.
