If we close it at 5pm tomorrow that would have been 5 days for people to make their bids so I think everyone has had a fair crack at it. It then gives you enough time to make the arrangements without a mad last minute rush.

Nice one US! And nice one winning bidder! Top result all round, I'd say

hats off to T.H.P.P. for a great gesture to a good cause and to U.S. for organising matters

if I had a bit more cash I might have put in a bid myself but I have No Quarters

hope the mystery bidder and generous benefactor have a great night

(I'll have to put up with attending the sound check the day before :) )

I can annouce that Superphil was the mystery bidder. Phil and Ross should have a headbanging rocktastic time Monday. I expect a full review with photos of the day out posted on here. Both legends and incredibly generous. chaps. REMF is a winner.

Well, I picked THPP up at 9am this morning, drove to the O2 Dome then in true British style queued for 3 hours or so to be issued our ticket and wristbands. By the time we left there were 10 - 12 queues with a good 3 - 400 people in each queue, going to be a long afternoon for them.

A suprising amount of American accents in the queues, and even people arriving obviously fresh off the plane from wherever, suitcases in tow, to join the melee.

So looking forward to this, doors open at 6pm tomorrow, we'll be waiting!

Oh, and sparing a thought for Superwife who came with us and queued with us, I even offered her my ticket as we neared the counter, but she let me keep it

US, I trust you'll put the money to the very best of use for REMF.

If possible, more pics from the show on Tuesday.

Forgot to mention - there was a bloke in a SKINT/ERREA jacket ahead of us in the ticket queue. He got a rousing shout of 'SEAGUUUULLLS!' on his way out from Superphil, Superwife & THPP on his way out! :albion2:

This is going to be a day you will never forget, a real " where were you when " moment and you can say " we were there ".

Respect, have a great one and post some photos.

The £ 402 will near enough by a full set of kit for some lucky youngsters Guys. Well done.

I am no longer UnLedded!

More to follow this evening, suffice to say, and superlatives you may hear or read about don't do them any justice, awesome!!!

The full set list ran as follows:

Good Times Bad Times
Ramble On
Black Dog
In My Time Of Dying
Your Life
Trampled Under Foot
Nobody's Fault But Mine
No Quarter
Since I've Been Loving You
Dazed and Confused
Stairway to Heaven
The Song Remains the Same
Misty Mountain Hop
Kashmir

The band returned to play two encores:

Whole Lotta Love
Rock and Roll

Have to say I think I would have opened with Rock And Roll.

First line: "Its been a long time since I rocked and rolled" would habve brought the house down aand set the tone.....
