I'm less optimistic than I was last time, but then I still thought we'd lose so what do I know?

Stumpy Tim is right, it's all about the new boys coming to the fore. It's hit or miss time.

No Vaughan or Simon Jones however are MASSIVE

If you remember before the last series Jones wasn't rated at all. In the first couple of tests Vaughn hardly bowled him. He raised his game and was the best bowler. I just hope Anderson or even Mahmood (unlikely) to step up.

I also think Cook could have a very good series. Vaughn was an excellent captain, but actually didn't bat all that well. Can you remember him jumping up to balls that kept low?

Its going to be a massive series and everyone will have to play exceptionally well. Hopefully Bell will actually contribute this time and if he does it will be like having an extra player, as he was a total spectator last time.

I'm very positive, as a great man once said - 'keep the faith'.

For months I've been thinking Australia will win easily. Recently I've been thinking that .... well, it's not going to be so easy. I think I'm very narrowly going for Australia. Perhaps. Or on the other hand if our batsmen 'click' and Monty comes good then, well, I don't know. Absolutely. Don't know. I think on balance it will be Australia. Or England. Or a drawn series.

Anyway currently I'm really looking forward to it, nervous and excited at the same time. I hope I'm still feeling like this on the final morning of the last Test.

I just hope it's tight and competitive and I still think that, awesome though Australia are, England have a very good chance - there's some quality batsmen and bowlers in England's line-up still and the Aussies respect and are fearful of the Fredster. I'll go for a draw so England retain. Can't wait - BRING IT ON.

I personally reckon England surpassed themselves last year what with home support etc.

My money is on a 5-0, as much as I hate Aussies.
