Arse.

And Ponting looks injured, so they might actually bring in someone for the next Test who can remember how to bat.

How was he supposed to protect him if he was at the other end, Colly is one of our top batsmen(allegedly), if he cant keep six balls out he should fuk off.
Anderson is sent in to protect Bell from having to face:facepalm:

Collingwood wanted a single off the 5th ball, Anderson says no, then Colly out 6th ball. f***ing shambles.

Anyone saying drop Collingwood now is an idiot. No one else in the team could have taken that magnificent catch to dismiss Ponting.

We're still in good shape though. The WACA is he Aussie's favourite pitch. There's still Sydney to come which is right up Swann's street.

Yes it was a very good catch but Collingwood is in the side to score runs first and foremost. So far he has hardly scored any and has looked out of sorts. Stil should've been a Si gle on that 5th ball but doesn't take away the fact he's not in form.

Oooh listen to us all, we sound like a bunch of wingeing Aussies! All to play for and with the Aussies feeling pleased with themselves it will be interesting to see if we have the mettle to respond appropriately. Lets hope this is an Aussie false dawn and they revert to form in the next test. Come on England!!

Well at least it keeps the series interesting and serves us English right for boasting and writing the Aussies off prematurely. England don't often do well with the favourites tag and the Aussies never give up.

Apologies, I hadnt seen the 5th ball, having just seen the summary at close of play, he should have been facing the last ball

Its disappointing but England are being beaten by the pitch more than anything. The Aussies have bowlers who know how to play the Waca pitch and this game was lost in our first innings when Johnson on his home ground wiped out our batting order. I don't think this result will do anything more than paper over the cracks in the Aussie team, it will be a wake up call to England and we'll come back steaming into them in the next test. The Aussies have their tails up in this test and England are playing like they don't believe they can get a result, lets get it over and move on.

Yeah, it's a pitch so dodgy that Hussey only scored a ton and a 50 on it, and the Aussie tailenders in the first innings lashed around like it was Taunton.

It was a combination of good swing bowling and poor batting that accounted for England in the first innings and, I haven't seen the 2nd innings yet, but it sounds like more of the same.

This will have given Australia a lot more confidence - they looked mentally shattered at Adelaide but look up for it now

ffs colly needs to be dropped wankers 81-5

Err..have some sympathy withnthis but he did get 1-3 and caught Punter out with what was reckoned to be a brilliant slip catch.

I was desperately hoping that he could bat out the day, did a real Hugh Grant 4 Weddings when he got out on the last ball. But dropping him would I think be the end of his England career.
