Botham was a shocking captain - as was Freddie. He seemed to have little idea of what to do. I think that instinctive cricketers like Botham and Flintoff often struggle. Sobers wasn't the greatest either and the worst of all was Keith Miller, who famously, on being told that he'd taken the field with 12 players, turned round to the team and said "Can one of you buggers piss off"

Depressing though it is lets assume that in a full days play you get approx 90 overs, therefore lets say there are approx. 200 overs to bowl on a flat non breaking up wicket. A Boycott-esque 2 an over will see us home.
