Its only right that as the England & Wales (Welsh, Whales whatever) cricket board they should host matches in Wales.
I will be there on Saturday. Just hoping that it isn't:
a) raining
b) all over
c) petering out into a dull draw
I'm pretty certain one of the three will happen though.
but why the cocking hell does Cardiff get the 1st test of the Ashes series? should be played at Lord's. end of. bah humbug, rhubarb, rhubarb, etc., etc.
I think we actually want to start with a win or a draw instead of the (inevitable) Aussie win at Lords!
well, as a traditionalist, i don't see anything wrong with that. didn't do much harm in 2005, did it?
But considering before then the ashes were exclusive aussie property for over 10 years...
because we lost the occasional test at Lord's? or because we were, quite frankly, a bit shit at cricket?
England: Strauss (capt), Cook, Bopara, Pietersen, Collingwood, Prior (wkt), Flintoff, Broad, Swann, Anderson, Panesar.
Why the hell is Stuart Clarke not in the Aussie team?
