Looking on the positive side, we need 20 runs for each wicket remaining.
Wood, Robinson and Broad are all capable of that.

imagine him thinking he can sledge Smith, what a complete knob Bairstow is.Has there ever been a worse selection than Bairstow for this series?
Genuinely, with the number of missed chances behind the stumps I think you could reasonably argue we've lost all three of these matches because of him.

Aside from Crawley, I don't have a particular problem with any of the shots played so far.Day and a half and we are swishing at everything
Swinging at absolutely everything hasn't helped. I was all for bazball but the level they've stuck to it even with two days to score 250 is just plain stupidityHas there ever been a worse selection than Bairstow for this series?

Really?....I think not...!!!!....absolutely fcking useless....should be dropped and dropped now. Chucked it away first knock. Another loose shot. So many negative points against the man. Nothing more than a flat track bully in one day cricket. No technique at this level. A liability in this series.
These. He’s got to be dropped. Baz will probably open with himHas there ever been a worse selection than Bairstow for this series?

Shows how deluded the man is. Hope Smith gave him.plenty on his miserable walk back.imagine him thinking he can sledge Smith, what a complete knob Bairstow is.
What about Rehan Ahmed?Dawson should of been playing instead of Ali as well
I'm happy to criticise Crawley's shot, and Bairstow could have left the ball from Starc alone (equally, it was there to be hit).Swinging at absolutely everything hasn't helped. I was all for bazball but the level they've stuck to it even with two days to score 250 is just plain stupidity
For all the so called positivity of this regime..they are remarkably cautious in selection. Bringing back Ali was incomprehensible and persisting with Bairstow has hung them.Dawson should of been playing instead of Ali as well
I'm happy to criticise his keeping and batting, but everything I've ever heard about Bairstow suggests he's an absolutely sound man.imagine him thinking he can sledge Smith, what a complete knob Bairstow is.
Smith just seems like a weirdoI'm happy to criticise his keeping and batting, but everything I've ever heard about Bairstow suggests he's an absolutely sound man.
On the other hand Smith, I don't have anything nice to say about.
Even if this Test is rescued and that is entirely down to these two now...it just papers over the cracks. Crawley..Duckett...Brook...Bairstow...Ali...are one day players. They lack the discipline and mentality to play the 5 day game. Without Leach we lack balance. Bairstow is giving wicketkeepers a bad name. Anderson is finished. Root and Stokes are the only class batting acts we have.
Strategy is too inflexible.
