They are stopping stokes scoring because he can’t run I guess, you wouldn’t be able to set this field if the batsman could run twos, feels like a matter of time before he’s caught.

He WILL be out shortly.

If the Aussies are getting this much grief at Lord’s I can scarcely imagine what the Western Terrace has in store for them on Thursday

The sticking point for me is the umpire. He’s turned his head away - to him the ball is dead. Do test match umpires really announce ‘over bowled’ at the end of each over in a Test? You never hear it picked up on the stump mics.
Carey released the ball as soon as he had caught it, pretty much one action.

The MCC member in the cream blazer who squared up to Warner and Kwawaja in the long room is going to see them outside later first.

Is it too late to give Tyson Fury MCC membership?

Was just saying imagine if this had been at Edgebaston. The Hollies would be mental.

It literally doesn’t matter, unless the batsmen is gaining an advantage by leaving his crease, ie: a run or a dance down the wicket, it’s bad form to do that, especially without first warning him for ‘leaving his ground’

Broad the perfect foil for Stokes here, will keep the crowd engaged and put in the theatrics
The short ball seems a little wasted on Broad here too. If he has a ping there is no one out there.

It does when it comes to being a dead ball, If he had held on to it then done it, I imagine the deadball would have more merit.

Could the people who have never played cricket stop contributing to this thread by constantly bleating that " he's out ". Nobody has said he isn't! It's all about how the game should be played. There is also the practical side of it. When I played league cricket the game would have descended into chaos let alone lasted for way too long if you took that approach. Every time having to over exaggerate that you are leaving your ground and asking the question is the ball dead

It’s like the Spurs fans saying “We beat you fair and square at WHL”

It wasn’t fair and square and anyone who has ever watched or played football knows it wasn’t.

Same with the Aussies, they know in their heart of hearts, they’re cheats, and that devalues everything they win.
