Can see why the umpire didn’t give that, looked to have pitched marginally outside leg at first glass Pope played all across it.

Here and There
92-2

'meh'

In the past we would be on that score after 5 hours play.

With regard to the Sussex dismissing Sussex question, I don't have the actual confirmed answer, but my feeling is that it may have been Ian Grieg who was dismissed by Imran Khan in the Birmingham Test of 1982.

There may have been one since, but with regard to players who were contracted with us at the time, I can't think of it.

(I tried to do multi-quote but I'm not sure how to do it)

Why do England always manage to end the session on a damp squib, poor way to get out really.

I know controversial but he should have walked there, that’s poor sportsmanship when it’s that blatantly obvious.

TMS just announced they've got the rights to ALL England cricket for the next couple of years, no more overseas Talkshite dross!
Good news indeed ! I think the Beeb was caught out when Talkshite put in a better bid for the rights than them. This has put paid to that awful BBC attempt to stay valid.. " Cricket Social " .

Not sure if it's 'all' or just 'all home' - not clear in the BBC's own article either.

"Good news! England's home internationals will be broadcast live on Test Match Special until at least the end of the 2028 season after BBC Sport renewed its audio rights deal with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

The new four-year agreement with the ECB has secured exclusive ball-by-ball commentary on BBC radio and via BBC Sounds for all of England's men's and women's matches."

This could get interesting. Looks like Brook is going to go after Lyon.

Wow! Corporate?

I passed on tickets for Edgbaston when asked to spunk up £280 for each day !!
All five days must be a grand?
Presumably, pro-rata refund when the inevitable 3-day result happens?
Five tests is re-mortgage territory, no?
I couldn’t afford that.
My job is a freelance tour manager. On this occasion I’m escortIng a group of 38 Aussies to Edgbaston, Scotland and Lords. Then another group for the remaining 3 tests.
I’m sitting in the lower tier of the pavilion in the middle of 500 Aussies and I’m having to wear Aussie polo and cap!
They are all happy at the moment and feel three wickets before lunch is a decent return.
Come on Joe and Harry!
