:lolol:

It's silly isn't it. I've done about 4 courses this term and for all of them I've basically ended up cramming about 10% of the course content to do the exams - and it's not like I can't do the exams!

its a joke!

we still had lectures right up until a week before exams started aswel. so barely had any time to learn stuff. on the up side though, i finish a week before almost all my housemates = more :drink:

AS Levels at Newman:

Done ICT exam which was easy and Unit 1 Business Exam went much better than expected.
Also Done 1st section of General Studies which i didn't enter but was told £36 to pull out of! Was strange but easy UCAS points I suppose.

Got Unit 2 Business tomorrow, not expecting much, then Wednesday got 2nd section of General studies!

After just over a week off then got 2 Psychology papers and maths GCSE re sit.

Luckily my IT Double is all course work this year and thats what I need to get to Uni!

Out of interest - what colleges do students here go to and are you on study leave this week or are you still attending lessons when you do not have an exam?

I'm at blatch6, and we attend lessons till the first exam in that subject, with the sixth form returning to normal service on the 14th of june.

I'm really lucky, i get to type my exams because i've got Dyspraxia, but politics is a DRAG. :annoyed:

Still... its a good subject, really interesting.

My exam board (OCR) consists of:
12 mark question
28 mark question
2 essay question (both 30 marks)

Use as many 2010 examples. They GENEROUSLY give it to :clap2: shows that you're `interested` and `independently studying` the topic

Ah, i'm with Edexcel ;)

a 5 mark, 10 mark and 25 mark question from a choise of two subjects, one of two 40 mark esssays. THe couse is split in to four sujects (i've done the first part already) so its Constitution, exec, legislature and judicery, we don't know which two will be in what. But luckily all this "constitutional crisis" stuff the cons were on about just slaps right in to the exam. :clap2:

Hurst College, We are on study leave since Thursday (a DAY before my exams start, many people have had several before they went on study leave) so are free to do what we want, but there is a 2 hour revision session for each subject the day before which most attend, although due to the way my exams all come in 2 short bursts I cant get to most of them.

Gotta write some stuff about that Shakespeare bloke for A2 Level English Literature, write a bit about Nazi Germany for History and watch a nice little clip for Media.

Does anyone else do English Literature? If so, how confident about this exam are you?

mines two mandatory and two optional

Politcs paper consists of:
Politcal Parties & Pressure Groups (mandatory) - both will be asked
Voting behaviour & General Elections (optional) - choose one essay question out of the other

Section A is the mandatory subjects 70%
Sections B in the pick and choose part 30%

bloody marvellous paper

Government (harder imho) paper:
Executive & legislature - mandatory
Judiciary and EU (boring as f***!:shootself) - optional

Christ, Judicary and EU laws and infact the whole "Governing the UK" topic is f***ing horrendous. I am contemplating dropping it even though i'm good at it.
