So Pulis doesn't want the job. Are we supposed to believe we'd delay appointing him if he did?

Personally, not that bothered.

We take our time, while other clubs decide to change their manager and we go to the back of the queue. Just like our summer targets, we take to long and they get snapped up.we will probably spend the next week watching those linked with us move on to other jobs and when the music stops we will be left with 4th choice.

Obviously not learnt our lesson then? Did the same appointing Oscar and took a while to get going. Did the same with Sami and look how that ended up. Did the same with tying up the Ward deal, did the same with the Clayton deal, do we ever learn? Football moves quickly in this day and age.

Good god. When were we supposed to have appointed someone?

Tony was in Australia - arrived back christmas eve by all accounts
Then it was christmas
Then match day boxing day
27th and 28th to speak to candidates and cary out research into said candidates.
29th match day again.

Realistically tomorrow or wednesday I would say. We HAVE to get this right rushing would be foolish. Hughton and Pulis are big names and we may not get them but we are clearly trying and that can take time.

It was always a case that Prem teams would scupper our chances.........we may have to wait a week or two now.

Does he think we're some kind of tortoise , because that approach really worked out in the summer didn't it?

You would have hoped with 1 win in 18 they may have seen this coming. Or at least put something in place before going on 4 month hol!

I really hope we don't waste this transfer window.
The new man will need to get in at least 4 new bods of his choosing.

Reading did it in 24 hours, let's see how long Palace take. It's a week today, as for Hughton he was interviewed last time, so can not see anything different to come from interviewing him again. As for Pulis if we really wanted him, then the time frame was only ever going to be short. He will be in demand. As for Tony, technology these days means that he could have arranged video conferencing and he has been back since last Wednesday, they have said that they have a small short list.

Oh for goodness sake !!

Firstly this 'nothing to really report' article was penned by Mr A Naylor - who does not exactly have a great working relationship with our club so unlikely to be 'itk'

Secondly, and more importantly, we all know that Tony Bloom always keeps his cards very close to his chest so for all we know the new manager could be announced today ...

Agree with this.....plus the fact that interviews can quite easily be done using VC/skype, at least to filter candidates. There are also prem jobs up/coming up for grabs so we are naturally going to be behind these. A big game of musical chairs has started. Comfortable Jones can do a job in the meantime after Boxing Day if TB hasn't resolved it. Hoping we can give the team 100% tonight and bring back the points.

We will appoint someone on 1st February

This wouldnt surprise me! It will insure we have a low cost transfer window! You would like to think the club have learnt after there slow actions in the summer! Just have a look at the clubs in and around us that are improving or doing well, surely we can do the same!
