Years and years ago I ran a tender for a billing platform for the company I was working for at the time. One of the Sales people for one of the contenders (probably the favourite in fact) was Vincent from last year's show. I kept scheduling meetings and he kept cancelling. Then one day he called me up and said that he thought I was a timewaster and didn't want to take part in the tender. So I excluded him, and ended up awarding half a million quid's worth of business to one of his rival companies.

It was the oddest piece of salesmanship I'd ever come across and it obviously lodged in my brain, along with his quite unusual name. I couldn't believe it when he turned up on The Apprentice last year and turned out to be just the kind of enormous tosser I'd always imagined him to be!!

They are all definitely very average, although on the flip side none are absolute hounds either.

The best way I could describe it is that I'd do every single one of them at least once if they asked me, if it bacame an effort and I had something better to do then mabye not.

There's always a chance that they've pulled the usual Apprentice trick of making all the girls appear ugly on the preview videos but once they appear on the show they are magically transformed into lookers, I'm not sure how the BBC do it.

As soon as it starts, they grow on you.

But thats enough of that, it is meant to be about business. I love the Apprentice, it shows what can be done with a bit of initiative. The buying/selling task last year was fantastic, anyone can buy stock from a warehouse, sell it and repeat.
