She has had her chance. The Scottish National Socialist Party is just that. Big into media manipulation and lack of creative ideas as to how to stimulate an economy apart from raising personal income tax. The Black Witch, Salmond, Swinney and all are bad people with the same fiscal nous as the Labour party i.e. zero.

Ruth Davidson however has all the attributes needed to run both Scotland the the UK. Bring it on!

The reason the Scottish population is shrinking is two fold!

1. The Women are getting uglier

2. The majority of the Frisp’s ( Google it) live here!

FRISP,
Now there’s a term of endearment I haven’t heard for a few years

I guess if they have a referendum every 5 years or so, one of them will go their way.

The EU use the same rules if they don't get the result they want first time.

Temptation to say their welcome to each other.

Temptation to say their welcome to each other.

So when has the EU ever organised a referendum? The answer is never; countries can choose to have a referendum as Britain did in 1975 on EU membership. By your own logic Britain should have stuck by the result of that referendum (67% in favour of EU membership) and should never have had the 2016 one where the gullible swallowed UKIP/Daily Express disinformation.

West is BEST
They'll be far stronger leaving England behind and having the support of the EU behind them while we splutter and stall after Brexit. Damned shame to break up the UK though.

Nicola Sturgeon delivering her keynote speech this afternoon - same old rhetoric - same old resentment! Anyone but England!

It's tough on the Scots - they're shrinking! From 18% to 8% of the UK population in just a couple of centuries.

Since the Beatles era, 1961, England's population has risen by 14,460,187 (35%). Scotland's in the same period has risen by 245,800 (4.7%), (From 5,179,000).

So - since 1961 England's population has increased by not far short of THREE times the TOTAL of Scotland both then and now! Wow!

Their answer is to become an ever smaller fish by independently being a member of the EU where they would amount to just 1% of the population and be totally consumed by the project.

Nicola, today, still "bigging up" Scotland as a significant world class nation. But England is now 10 times the size, Europe is 100 times the size, China is 250 time the size and the planet is 1,300 times the size.

Would - so called independence - just hasten their relegation to the minor leagues?

Careful there mate.....didn't you know?
Any slagging off of England is now totally (with right arm raised with clenched fist)..'right on' and anyone who dares to disagree or say anything that in some way stands up for the country is a total "raaaacist"!
Remember...freedom of speech is only permitted for slagging off the Government, Britain in general, Brexit and the racist/clueless people who voted for it, Donald Trump and anyone from Britain's past who the lefty liberal elite now think it's ok to label racist!!!

......Scotland doesn't have a problem compared with the likes of Romania and Bulgaria - down by 4 million and 2 million respectively over the last 20 years.

Is that because they've all pissed off out of Romania and Bulgaria to other European countries with better wages and higher living standards?

What choice to the sweaty's have? They can't go anywhere sunny, so they have to stay put. :whisky:

Face facts. The Scots will always hate the English and whatever they can do to jab them in the ribs and poke then in the eye, they will do....

So its OK and democratic for the UK to vote to leave the EU but not OK for Scotland to vote to leave the UK? So its one rule for us (the English) and a different rule for them? Just a tad hypocritical isn't it?

To be fair, they had their vote, and it turned out that Scottish people decided they wanted to stay in the U.K. so no, it’s not Ok for them to leave the U.K., because their people decided it.

If the Scots vote to go then they should.

That said, Brexit and Scottish independence should not be conflated, the circumstances are very different. Scotland does not have its own currency, the SNP has ruled out the options to join the euro and create its own independent currency.

As such the U.K. in leaving the EU can in theory leave lock, stock and barrel. The Scottish in contrast cannot do the same with the U.K. all the while the use sterling, and it will remain locked into the U.K. economic framework.

Even the most ardent Brexiteer would accept that (if we did have the euro) that the U.K. would not be independent unless we had a different currency to the EU. The SNP are therefore selling a pup, in fact it’s a dead pup, they argue for independence, but want to keep sterling and join the EU.

If this whole Brexit process has demonstrated anything, then the level of sovereignty surrendered by member states being in the EU is certainly not “independence”. It’s why over a 3rd of SNP voters support Brexit.

It’s Sturgeon that is being hypocritical, but if that’s what the Scots want so be it........
