Sometimes being a loyal fan can give you a crap seat.

I was first in for the Palace tickets and because they sold them as they come out of the box I was down in the corner.

I was slow off my arse for Reading and we ended up with prime tickets half way up bang behind the goal.

Is it completely beyond the wit of man to get this right, or should I just wait my time for the Liverpool game and not get stuffed with a front row corner seat!!

Or shall I just quit moaning and just be happy to have gone to Palace unlike many others :)

Under FL regulations, the home club tells the away club what order the tickets need to be sold in, so it's really pot luck as some clubs say sell from the front and others say sell from the back.

ALL seats at Selhurst are shit though.

If you have to sit in the seat that you are allocated surely it is not beyond the reals of modern technology to be able to give you a choice of location. I personally do not like sitting in the front rows so booking tickets as they go on sale always feels like a bit of a gamble. Thank you Leeds for selling from the back.

We had pretty crap seats at Palace too, right at the back as far away from the Holmesdale end as possible...
Got front row for Southampton, and back row for Coventry! Swings and roundabouts.

This really gets on my TITS too. They usually just have several piles and pull them out randomly.

They probably didn't. But if they did then BUGGER, because I haven't bought mine yet. We apparently will not be allowed to stand at Leeds anyway; and the front of the away end is still near the back of the stand.

Maybe wait 24/48 hours then apply for your ticket..... patience is a virtue

The home fans at Elland Road stand for the whole game , the stewards don't want the agro.

I had awful seats at Reading, right down the front and right at the side despite buying 2 minutes after they went on sale. There was a load of spare seats though so it wasn't an issue.
Was fairly late getting tickets for Pompey though and still ended up in the weird uncovered concrete bit at the side of the stand, which was a tad disappointing- couldn't find any gaps either so had to stay there. But hey ho, just unlucky I guess.

I find it amazing that so many fans actually sit where the ticket says at away games , I cannot remember the last time we've been in the allocated seats.

We were quite late for palace, ended up in row 10. This might be due to having a under 16 ticket, seems when you buy one of these you end up near the front without fail.

I had a similar problem at Hereford in 97. Booked them ages before it was an issue, so we were stuck down the side of the pitch looking enviously on at the party behind the goal.
