How many students will take up the offer to watch a second tier football match with a pie and a pint for £34.00?

Because thats the price as of this evening.

I noticed that deal on my twitter feed, I'd genuinely be fairly suprised if more than 5 people took up that offer. Thing is, a fair majority of games are selling out, and those which aren't are only a few seats short of doing so, it's not as if 10k seats are sat unoccupied every home match.
I Agree with the suggestion above of offering tickets to students last minute if a number of tickets are left unsold. However £34 for second tier football is EXTREMELY expensive, I know for sure that me and my mates at uni wouldn't be able to afford £34 for a football ticket, let alone considering it is a team for which most students at either Uni would have much affiliation with.

It's not a huge issue though, as I say, we seem to be selling out and when we don't most tickets are being sold. Sheffield Wednesday last season were doing £6 tickets to students from our Union, i've not checked the price for this year, but I know United tickets are often available for £6. Thing is, they've thousands of empty seats week in week out, whereas if we were to offer a similar package, we'd be losing a fortune by selling tickets full paying fans would be happy to pay £34 for.

I think this is great debate as we need to build our fan base no ideas is bad one but one are better than others at the end of the day we all want to fill the Amex before we get to the premiership we wants thousands of Albion shirts around the World .:bhasign::albion2::amex::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::ascarf:

Record home crowd at the Amex last Saturday (excluding away fans numbers).

Why should students get priority on cheap tickets over budget restricted households?

Ticket prices at the Amex are only going to go one way, and that isn't down!!

I've got a few friends that I am trying to turn into Albion fans. They keep talking about going but they haven't gotten round to it yet. If we have a cup game against a non-premiership team at home this season I'll be able to go with them and hopefully get them singing.

As a primary school teacher, it is my life's work to convert / persuade children to ditch their allegiances to other teams and make them realise that the only team to support is the Albion. Any child that comes to my after school football club gets house points for every item of Albion kit they're wearing. I also occasionally teach other life lessons and even the odd maths.

I've converted one. From a non-football fan into an Albion fan. He's even coming to Palace on Saturday.

When you do religion could you sort of mention Palace and the devil in the same teachings. It will all help.

On Saturday, I spotted one of my friends in the ESL catering queue who is a lifelong West Ham fan. He was with a cousin of his who was over from Canada (Totonto, I think he said). He confessed to having been to the Middlesborogh game, too, and seemed to be enjoying himself. Hopefully another convert on the way.....

I am considering reporting you for child cruelty.

Is there a Sussex Uni society of Brighton fans? I'm studying there, but only on campus one day a week, so much of it passes me by.

I'm stilled confused as to why the club don't offer student prices or do we sell out?

I go there too, I'm forever being asked about tickets by other students, although they soon balk when I tell them the prices. There's a Sussex Uni Football Manager Society and they're all mad on going. I sold my smart card for one game to some random student for the bargain price of £15.

Gus has played a big part in converting these people into fans. When our football works, it really is good to watch, instead of the 50/50 football 90% of teams play.

I've got a couple of mates to come when my other mate couldn't get to games, one of them isn't a football fan but wants to go again, the other is a Liverpool fan and he's asking me for a ticket nearly every game! I can't seem to find anyone selling a ticket in North Stand for any of the matches, so his thirst for The Albion will go unquenched.
