I'm allergic to caffeine smart arse.

Clearly and sadly not allergic to bullshit though. Whilst it wasn't by far the worst game I have ever seen it was hardly great entertainment. It was decent yes but exciting ? I think the crowd reaction speaks for itself.

It's just that I've never sat amongst so many who don't utter a single chant or shout, not even at Withdean. .

You are joking right? If not then you really must be heading towards a bout if severe dementia. Withdean was one million times worse and to claim otherwise is ridiculous. Even at the bloody Goldstone only one part of one stand sang most of the time at certainly never ever 3 stands at the same time as we get now on occasion. What are peopke expecting. Which ground in the uk has an amazing atmosphere all the time? Even Stoke before they were in the Prem were pretty quiet.

The exodus with 6 minutes to go before half time was shocking and embarrassing. Unless you are desperate for a p*ss there is no excuse for this. The team need you there , supporting them and you cannot do that from trap 2 or in the queue for a Steak and Ale Pie.

Well thats a no win situation, On one hand we've got people like yourself moaning about others leaving they're seat early but on the other hand if everybody waited until the half time whistle then we'd have non stop moaning about the length of queue's for the toilets or the food outlets.
Anyway it's not just our ground it happens at the same was happening in the Doncaster v Leeds game on Friday night on Sky, It's the way football is these days.

Interesting views as I thought the atmosphere was good yesterday and it has been pretty much all season. The best being the build-up and first half of the Cr***a* P***** game where roar for the goal was the loudest we have had. It noticeably died in the second half as everyone was just nervous because we had stopped playing and Cr***a* P***** had started to dominate...That is when their fans begun to sing in earnest whereby up until that point we hardly heard a peep from

But lessons were learnt from that match as when it got a bit flat in the second half the crowd responded and started to lift the team and it worked. As for the Hull City fans, I do not know if it was because they were spread out over the stand but you could see them all jumping and clapping but not much noise coming from their end.

All in all, with regards to the atmosphere I do not think we have too much to worry about...Yet...

Albion & England forever.

Hull fans saying the atmosphere was good too,its the same at most grounds,we always outsing when we go away,1400 away fans at the amex will do the same.

I am seriously worried that if I let slip out an expletive in the heat of the moment or give the away fans a finger I would be banned. The atmosphere where I am is shocking and there are always quite a few empty seats as well. The West Middle need to have a long hard look at themselves in the mirror as 5 minutes into the second half the whole stand was virtually empty. Also I must have to get up and down from my seat at least 50 times with people wandering in and out of the stands all game. The Amex is a wonderful stadium, BHAFC are a great side, Poyet is a brilliant manager but we need to do something to create an intimidating atmosphere for the opposition at least away from the family area and anyone who knows anything about football knows that, do the people who run the Amex know this ?. I was the only one in the West South after 92 minutes against CPFC as everyone else had left and that is unforgiveable. I cannot see the need to leave the stands nearly 10 minutes before half time but people pay their money and its their choice. No one in my area sings at all.

It was a ridiculous statement though wasnt it? Almost all of Withdean was a library. And if you wanted to be in a stand with definite singing why didnt you go in the North?

I have an idea. Let's set up a group of 14 year olds to sing songs from St Pauli and other teams on the continent, then we can get 200 people in the North Stand singing and nobody else in the ground. Yeah, and we can call ourselves Ultras, that would be kool wouldn't it?

The atmosphere was fine yesterday. A tense, 0-0 draw against Hull City with relatively few moments of incident, and little to berate the ref about. It could be better, and it many games it will, but you have to accept that the noise is not going to be amazing every game unless the team is, which is pretty unlikely!!

Can't you give this tired old anti NSK shit a rest mate. I f you can do better, then lets see it then. You're fond of slating people who are trying to make an atmosphere whilst not doing anything near what they are doing. I am not one of the NSK, nor do I know anyone in the NSK, but I thank them for trying to get people going. Perhaps you could make a banner with Richard Reynolds Haircut on it, then you can stand up and sing whatever you like, and we could all take the piss out of you instead.

FFS...not every game is going to b a brilliant atmosphere...i don't recall the Peterbro game as being that hot on noise........team were edgy and crowd likewise..it happens..nxt game against West Ham might be totally different...we've just had 3 'high profile' home games...a come down was inevitable when u add in the poor results...2nd half was better..but then u factor in the 'night' effect...imho night games always hav a better atmosphere so lets settle down now.

No it wasn't, that was the point I was making. Withdean was shit but the section of the South I sat in had more life in it than where I sit now. Is that so hard to comprehend? I didn't go in the North for several reasons, one being that I go with my dad who's 82 and his legs are f***ed. As I said, the part of the WSL I sit in should be able to get going as we hear the flow of singing from North to WSU and back, it's perfect for joining in and cranking it up, it's justthat almost everyone sits there like stuffed animals.

Exactly. The atmosphere is always likely to be better for a Leeds or West Ham at night. I suspect Barnsley on a Sunday won't be in that league. But that's just football, and anyone who has been for years knows that.

There was never going to be quite the noise there was for Doncaster at all other games, but we just want the general level to be kept up.

It is interesting though that other teams (and I mean other teams without a Palace-style axe to grind) think the atmosphere is good. It shows that around the country, generally, atmospheres are not as good as they used to be.

Totally agree with Tooting and Albion Dan. I sit in block G WSU - i think the atmosphere is very good - and for a nervy 0-0 yesterday there were some good periods of support and singing. I think accoustics play a large part as i am far from the home fans - i hardly heard anything from Hull - but if you sit near them i am sure they sounded loud. The only fans i have really heard this year were Leeds. Not even Palace made that much noise (objectively as I can be).

I have been to lots of away games and think that for a home set of fans generally we are very loud and proud. I am very happy with my seat and the effort of people to sing - WSU G block is loud and great view.

I dont think the Amex is sterile or will become sterile - the team was tense yesterday and so was the crowd - to be expected after the recent home results
