I think the voice gives the game away which is a good thing. People will realise it is not really her Maj but it will also educate people on deepfake videos

Sadly I think there's plenty of thickoes out there who will believe it, in the same way that many believe some of the crap they read on Twitter. Have a guess at how many Americans believe every word that Trump tweets for example (no, I've no idea of the number either, but I'll wager it needs several noughts at the end of it!)

As far as Channel 4 broadcasting it, the kindest thing I can say about it is 'unnecessary'.

I know the message is "watch out for fake stuff from non-mainstream media" but to me it rather just proves "if we can use this in propaganda purposes, we will, no hesitation".

I agree.this will be a valued bit of tech for mainstream media to manipulate and fool the masses.
The fact that channel 4 are using a big event like the queen speech to use this tech, under the guise of a warning, which is actually a statement to say deepfake will be every where soon is very worrying.

Don’t give the queen or the RF a second thought any other day. I won’t be wasting my Xmas day to see what they have to say.

Unnecessary waste of space.

Channel 4 trying to be edgy but massively failing to read the mood of the nation.

I’m no mad royalist, but from what I’ve seen it’s pretty disrespectful stuff. I don’t think having a pop at a 94yr old woman is ever funny........But, we live in a free country so crack on.

Even in these so-called enlightened times, I am pretty certain that far more people would prefer to see the Queen that any of your two alternatives.
What specifically is wrong with his alternatives?

Fair point, but flip it . . .the Queen is condescending and patronising to the vast majority.

FWIW I'll watch both and have a giggle. its TV, its fiction, it's bollocks, its entertainement. most definitely not to ba taken seriously

The queen is not condescending nor patronising- bloody cheek . You have some nerve . The queen always strikes the perfect note

There are no free countries, there is laws and censorship and a lot of other stuff to prevent that.

I don't know why but for some reason I read that in the style of The pub landlord. :lolol:

If we had no rules where would we be? France! If we had too many rules where would we be? Germany!

Not saying rules are a bad thing, but the "free country" stuff was always nonsense... probably mostly a good thing.
