To be fair I fully understand your reasons, but that's a bit like the board of Costa Cruises holding their weekly meeting and hoping to ignore the f***ing big shipwreck lying on the bottom of the sea.

I wouldn't say that, the board of Costa Cruises are directly involved, the moan in is independant and I would assume can't afford to defend themselves if they get sued. I like the moan in, so I'd like to see it not get shut down XD

Any idea on itunes timescale this time? I'm back at work on Sunday so I'm hoping it'll be on my player in time to listen to it on the way there.

I think that shows like Standing on the Glebe and The Roar (which I've listened to for the last few weeks and think is a good listen) are the right places to discuss things like the goings on at the club this week. I'm not saying it should be the lead on either show, far from it, but ignoring it isn't a good solution either I don't think. Your call, obviously, but I would be having words to say about the Argus' coverage, atleast.

Well, it would have been if we'd known the ship was at the bottom of the sea.

At the time of recording, we didn't even know the players in question had been released on Police bail. To discuss it at the time with no information (aside from knowing that six players had been arrested), nor an idea as to how the Argus were going to present their story would have been unwise.

And this was with the sage counsel of a national newspaper journalist in the studio.

Quite apart from the legal and moral implications, there would have been absolutely no point in discussing, er, those things while recording a show on Thursday evening to go out on Saturday when we were reasonably sure that events would overtake us. As indeed they have.
