I worked in three different offices pre Covid where convention was you got cakes in for everyone on your birthday.

Another place there were eight of us, all male, setting up the IT operation of a start up and none of us liked cake much, so convention dictated you went and got a cooked pork belly instead. Suspect that would end up with HR these days.

These sorts of fines aren't there to punish people, they're there as a mainly symbolic slap on the hand for breaches against the behaviour code.
As it should be. Making people (however rich) pay £10k for not wearing flip flops in the shower would make it a shit work environment.

When my son played for Newhaven U23s they had a fine sheet, not as long as the Albion one mind.
All the fines went towards a night out.

Seen a few of these leaked recently, seems pretty standard and in line with other clubs I’ve seen.

It’s just about having a little self-discipline, encouraging players to act professionally and treat everyone else at the club (kit men, cleaners, medical staff) with courtesy and respect.
