I do wonder whether all this work was necessary. Simply put they have moved the entry/exit point to the airport and the new housing from the old Sussex pad junction to a new roundabout 200 yards further along the road. Other than a new pavement benefiting pedestrians what essentially is the difference?
This must have cost a shit load of money and seems to have simply moved the airport / Coombes junction just further along the road. Why couldn't the traffic from the airport and the new houses just use the Sussex Pad lights as before?
With the phasing of the new roundabout lights being wrong I really can't see the benefit of over a year's work and disruption?
