It's distorted this season because e.g. Fulham (yet again ..... it was bound to work out eventually) and Forest spent mega money.

Bmuff were the only low spenders.

Should TB cash in on Trossard in January, that would deprive low-scoring us of almost our one sauce.
Won't do that similar to how he wouldnt sell Biss to Villa last January window. Too much at stake just to get a few million pounds extra compared to what they'll get in the summer.

I hope so.

If he did sell Trossard, that would be a huge midseason blow to RDZ.
Yes.

It would be a stupid decision. For all of GPs years - and nothing indicating it will change really - there has been a very strong relation between Trossard doing well and Brighton doing well, and vice versa. He is on a different level compared to the other attacking players.

On his good days (there are many) I genuinely seeing fitting in the Mansour's first team, I put him at the level of Mahrez.

Brighton could be dragged into this very quickly. Our squad is weak and confidence is low since the departures. I think the world cup break will help a lot, to give RDZ to assess things and make changes.

I don't honestly know who will go down but I really want Leeds to sink without trace as they still feel entitled, Forest for their anti football against us last week and the Villa.

I think we could be in the mix but I disagree. Our squad is good but our striking options are weak. Confidence low ? We are not playing like it is and the noises out the camp suggest everyone is together . positive and on it.

I suspect we will probably flirt with the lower reaches but ultimately be 10th - 14th

The possibility of losing Tross in January without the addition of a top striker or ready made scoring midfielder is frankly... scary 😬

Well that's just it, to my mind making changes, (othet than the odd tweak here and there), is precisely what RDZ shouldn't be doing.

Cuccurela apart, maybe Bissouma too, this is precisely the same squad of players who were performing so well uner Potter. I'm convinced that once the first win comes it will be followed by quite a few more.

Just one win, and that lack of confidence will become a thing of the past.

They spoke about relegation on the radio over the weekend. They went as follows-
If I were to say Forest, Wolves & Leeds that sounds probable.
If I were to say Hammers, Leicester & Saints it sounds probable.
But also Villa, Palace, B'Muff and even Everton are only one defeat from trouble.
This season could well go down to the wire and a big team could be in the mix.

Forest, Bournemouth and Leeds.
Unless Gary O`Neill is some sort of genius.
If he is then Brentford might drop in, worrying results against Newcastle and Villa and rely too much on Toney.

I'm not sure what you've witnessed to say our players are short on confidence judging by the way we move the ball about. Our problem is trying probably to hard to score the perfect goal all the time

We could be in the bottom 3 by the winter break. Everything is so congested from us down and full of teams that could drop with some poor form, it's impossible to call out 3 teams definitely doomed this year.

Body language in the last few games. More subtle acts of frustration from missed passes and poor decision making. I think everyone at the club would feel deflated, the same way the fans did. We were literally on our way to Champions League football and then the whole coaching team left, this would affect any team.

Confidence is low? Did you see how we tried to take the game to City? Sorry, that is absolute bollocks. I think the players have bought into De Zerbi ball very quickly. Shame we haven’t had the breaks all PL teams outside City need

All about opinions I totally accept

yeah it's anyone's to lose. unfortunately I think trossard will be gone in jan, especially if he has a good world cup. he could realistically be in double figures for us by then, if that's the case we won't hold on to him.

then it's all going to come down to what TB will back RDZ with. if we sell trossard and 'go with what we have' we'll find ourselves right down there, but I think that's unlikely
