Trump admitting he has no alternative policy to Obamacare, he avoided the question about any regrets over January 6th blaming Nancy Pelosi for the riots, avoided talking about an abortion ban, avoided answering whether he wanted Ukraine to win the war and has just completely avoided the climate change question with more whataboutery. Trump has come up with zero specifics about policy tonight.

I'm still stunned by his closing statement where he spent every second attacking the Democrats and did not say one word about his own positive vision for America.

Breaking news: Taylor Swift says she will vote for Kamala Harris.

The night couldn't have gone any better for the Democrats. Clearly the race still has a long way to go but a big night. Possibly the best Presidential debate I have ever seen - no dull moments, all action.

Trump is being coached by Tulsi Gabbard who ripped Harris apart in the primaries. Gabbard and a muted mike will make it hard for harris to go into lawyer mode and given her rambling word salads on open mike she will be toast imo.

All Trump has to do is not go off on one to win the Presidency.
*Narrator* ....unfortunately, Trump went off on one

Just watched it back. Trump shat the bed. Harris much better performance than Biden (though that wasn’t hard), Trump very flustered throughout.

I’m not really one for performative politics, but Harris hit all the right beats in a “breezy” way. Stumped a couple of times but rode it out just fine. Handshake shenanigans made Harris look in control.

So irrelevant was Trump’s performance to the Trump campaign calling the debate a win for him, they had a pre-written statement all prepared - but someone slipped up and released it before the debate had even ended :lolol:

"President Trump delivered a masterful debate performance tonight, prosecuting Kamala Harris's abysmal record of failure that has hurt Americans for the last four years.

"We saw President Trump lay out his bold vision of America and how he would continue to build upon the successes of his first term by supercharging the economy, securing the border, and stopping crime from ravaging communities across the country.

"Conversely, Kamala's vision of America was a dark reminder of the oppressive, big government policies of Joe Biden that she wants to continue. High inflation, a porous border that allows criminals and terrorists to flood across, and being soft on crime— that is what Kamala represents.

"The choice could not be more clear— President Trump was the clear winner tonight, and he will win for America when he returns to the White House."

Before the debate, Trump was odds on to win the presidency.

Now the debate has finished, the odds have swapped, and he's 11/10.

So he lost the debate, but the race is still really close.

Guys, can we hold fire on calling the debate for Harris until the Dingo and lasvegan have explained to us that all our eyes and ears are faulty and actually Trump won bigly?

An easy three points for Harris on the way to the final.

Apparently she was wearing earrings that were earphones so Trump won by default. BIGLY.
