I don’t have to “put anyone on ignore” to ignore them so grow up eh?

Stop replying to my posts too if they upset you - we will never see eye to eye politically.

And, tbh It’s you that’s flouncing over a joke about your conspiracy theories not me.

Let me remind you what you are flouncing over:

Btw

I’m far from ‘sensitive’ to your hard right, pro-Trump leanings or your interest in conspiracy theories or your ad hominem jibes at me - it all fits a certain profile frankly, one I have sod all in common with or any interest in engaging with tbh.
This is generally my philosophy on NSC. Although I’m getting RSI in my thumb scrolling your posts.

It’s not that I find them particularly disagreeable; I just can’t be arsed with several paras each time.

Guardian reporting. Trump's MAGA coalition is falling apart:

Nick Fuentes, the 25-year old white supremacist and Holocaust denier who once dined with Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago, has revoked his support for the former president.

Referring to the loose network of white nationalist activists, alt-right and internet trolls known as Groypers, Fuentes wrote on X:

“Tonight I declared a new Groyper War against the Trump campaign. We support Trump, but his campaign has been hijacked by the same consultants, lobbyists, & donors that he defeated in 2016, and they’re blowing it. Without serious changes we are headed for a catastrophic loss.”
He added that he plans to present a “detailed statement of the facts, a mission statement, and a plan of action” on Monday.

In 2022, Democrats, civil rights organizations and some Republicans criticized Trump for dining with Fuentes, who has a history of spewing violently misogynistic rhetoric, in addition to homophobic and Islamophobic views.

A seminal moment imho.

As an interesting barometer, I’ve followed this for 2 or 3 years, as it takes out wishing thinking/chat. Until this moment, the odds have clearly shown a loss for Biden then Harris. But the gap’s been closing since Biden pulled out.

Definitely somewhat interesting, imo - however Betfair Exchange is geo-restricted in much of the US, and the money on the table there will be almost exclusively from punters in the UK.

Still definitely of note, but opinions (especially political opinions and affiliations) vary and differ wildly across the Atlantic. It’s difficult to even find a US comparison, as online gambling is illegal in many states.

I wonder if @US Seagull knows of something similar?

I do realise that it all hinges on swing voters in just 4 or 5 states.

But until days ago, for an age, Betfair markets sentiment was a Trump win. A month ago, a shoe in.

I’m heartened by that. Hope.

Augmented by the J D Vance car crash.

A long way to go though.

I have only seen brief headlines about Vance, something about dolphins and couch cushions in a very unprofessional context. Other than that, I’m very behind on both VP candidates.

I am very much looking forward to the (now back on) debate between the headliners. After that, I think we’ll all have a really good idea for which way things are likely to go, imo.

reading there's a bit of blue on blue in the field. Joe Rogan made some favourable comments about RFK jr. cue pile on from the Trump cult, including a pop from the thin skinned orange one. think might be undercurrent of libertarians switching to RFK as they'd rather vote for him as some principled cause, over Trump talking nonsense, faking support. RFK could make important difference, doubt he's drawing voters away from Harris.

Ironically the thing most likely to piss the MAGA lot off isn’t the weirdness but the fact he praised Martin Luther King

It’s funny but also utterly unbelievable that Trump is boasting about the crowds at his insurrection speech.

And yet, he even lied in doing that, saying MLK spoke to a million people at the Lincoln Memorial, in fact it was 250,000. Trump only spoke to about 10,000 on 6 Jan.

The 'weirdness' thing may have traction. I hope so.

(And he is utterly f***ing weird)

Weird is great. And it was Walz that first floated it.

At first I thought it was silly, but it's actually brilliant. Trump is a bully. Something a former high school teacher like Walz recognized and has no doubt dealt with before. You don't take a bully down by calling him "dangerous" or "a threat". They love that. That stokes their ego. Makes them feel strong. Feared.

But to call them "weird"? That makes them small. That puts them beneath contempt. And they f***ing hate that. And their best come back is just pathetic. "Na uh, you're the weird one!"

Makes them look like the punny, whiney bitches they are.

I've been saying he's weird/odd since about 2016!
But sadly I gather you have very little traction with the great American Electorate. Whereas.....you can guess the rest

Why doesn't that link show photos of both speeches at the Lincoln Memorial, so we can see the difference?

I like Zeb too, even though he is wrong most of the time. Thoughtfully and eloquently wrong, a little long winded at times (all the time), but that’s fine with me 😎. At least I can have a discussion with him without being dissed, a rarity for me on this thread.
