I do feel a little bad for the guy. The worse part has to be seeing that Pelosi was right all along. He was dragging the ticket (and the party) down.

I don't. He was old, and then became president. He should have stepped down (from the coming election) earlier (although I'm not sure it's hurt the party's chances that he didn't).

Joe still smarting from leaving/being gentle persuaded/violently shoved from the race:

I'm sure he feels bit miffed, but the bits in bold seem quite convenient, no?

'Biden has told his closest aides and associates that he is coming to terms with his decision to bow out of the presidential race last month, but still harbors some frustration toward the members of his own party he believes pushed him out, according to three people familiar with Biden’s thinking who are not authorized to speak publicly about private conversations.'

He's already talked about his decision on TV - and probably sugar-coated it for the good of the party - so why the need to take over it all again?

Or maybe that will be the stick that his opponents beat him with - to claim his dementia means he doesn't know what he's saying.

Twats.

Does he have dementia? I'm not at all convinced he does. Older people often make more mistakes, but that doesn't mean they have dementia.

I personally don't think he does. But am increasing number of people on the other 'side' do. And also, probably, some on his own 'side'.

It's a lazy/unfunny trope/stereotype to label people with, hence why I called them twats.

I feel sorry for him that it ended up coming so late. But it should never have been allowed to. Everyone should have been clear he was a one term president right from the start.

I joked about it before but it genuinely wouldn't surprise me if this was all part of a plan. Biden drops at the exact point where they could maximise the Harris 'bump' and catch The Donald and his fellow oddball bullshitters off-guard.

Probably not the case, but anything is possible!

Lost the plot.

In Spring 22 he morphed from fake virus rants, to blaming the “Chainese”, mixed with pushing unfounded laughable cures. His daily briefings were pure comedy. Until, sadly, his advisors must’ve got to him to stop them … as the world was laughing at an idiot out of his depth.

And yet a large proportion of US 'adults' will probably still vote for him. It's simply beyond belief 🤷🏼‍♂️

Indeed. He was telling us it was nothing (long after our esteemed moderator had accepted it), until he finally realised he couldn't hide from the fact anymore, so he 180'd and said he was the first to warn about it.

He has changed what a parody is. Before him, we'd never have believed such constant blind bullshitting was possible.

@Weststander posted on Friday the betfair market where Harris went favourite in post 4588.The price is hardening all the time and now into odds on.

It's still a coin toss of course but a remarkable turnaround from when Biden started doing his party piece in the TV debates

Harris still coming in albeit very minor in percentage terms since Monday. Fascinating market and always is.
